My gold medalist husband...

Brett participated in the state SkillsUSA competition this past Thursday and Friday. He was part of the team works competition. The jist of it is 4 people (a framer (brett), electrician, plumber, and mason) build a small structure. They took gold this year and get to go to Nationals in Kansas City in June. Here is the structure.
Here is the team and two of Brett's teachers before the awards ceremony.
Getting their gold medals.
Congrats on gold Bretters, love you!

Spring Break

My last spring break as an undergraduate. (hopefully, I made some really stupid mistakes on a fairly easy test today!)

Always trust your sister...

My sister recently told me I have to watch North and South (a BBC adaptation of Elizabeth Gaskell's novel). She told me it was Pride and Prejudice but not. Well I finally watched it and loved it. It had elements of Pride and Prejudice and I also saw some similarities to Charles Dickens' Little Dorrit. I enjoyed it immensely and would suggest it to anyone who likes Pride and Prejudice. I plan on reading the book and will let you know what I think when I do.

The Decision is Made

We'll I've made up my mind. I'm not done with school... I'm going on to get a master's in nuclear engineering from the University of Idaho. While doing this I'll be working with the ICSBEP (don't' worry about what that means) at the Idaho National Laboratory. Look out grad school here I come. I can't believe I've decided to keep going to school. I used to always say my sister had enough degrees for both of us... I guess I was wrong.
